Prosper Behumbiize is a Public Health Information Systems Specialist with the Global Health Information Systems Programs (HISP) coordinated by University of Oslo, Department of Informatics. He is an expert in planning and implementation Health Information Systems in Developing Countries. He holds a Masters Degree in Public Health – Information Systems (MPH) from University Of Western Cape, South Africa and PhD Public Health Candidate with Texila American University. Prosper is a District Health Information Software Certified Facilitator.Prosper possesses 14 years of working experience with US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – Uganda supporting Ministry of Health Uganda’s Health Information Systems and 6 years Global/Regional and National experience in implantation Electronic Health Management Information Systems (eHMIS) using the District Health Information Software (DHIS2). He has extensive consulting experience with government, private, regional and international institutions mostly Health Development partners and Agencies and Ministries of Health; examples include PEPFAR, Global Fund, PSI among others.Prosper is a global and regional Health Information Systems (HIS) and DHIS2 Academies organizer and facilitator. He is a member of several HIS innovation communities both locally, regional and globally.
